From HOD Desk

It is my privilege as the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Mohammed Haji Saboo Siddik Polytechnic to share certain facts about the department.

The laboratories of the department are well equipped. The rotating machines and static equipments of the ground floor laboratory of the department cater to the need of the curriculum which has been revised and updated by MSBTE regularly and systematically. All the rotating machines are provided with Panel with measuring instruments which were obtained through final year projects as well some new machines are also installed. The fluorescent tubelights were replaced totally with LEDs which is an energy conserving technique. Through another final year project, the huge supply Panel of the laboratory was replaced by a wall mounted and compact one and one more remarkable final year project is the installation of Solar Power Station at the terrace of the polytechnic which is supplying the lighting load of the department. The department has separate Electronics laboratory and Computer laboratory in the 4th floor of the institution.

The Alumni group of our department is one of our biggest strengths. They have been contributing in one way or the other regularly for the development of the department. They deliver guest lectures on technical/personality development, offer summer internship training for 4 to 6 weeks, accord permission for industrial visit, give placement in the industries, share valuable information about job vacancies and donate generously in cash/kind, help the needy students for education, Hats off to their big gratitude and affectionate bonding.

We feel proud and happy about their sense of belonging for their Alma Matar and our humble appeal to continue their Yeoman service in the years ahead.

The examination results of our students are always very good. Department conducts many extra curricular and co-curricular activities and encourages the students to participate in maximum number within the Institution as well in state level competitions.

In every semester, the department students prepare one Newsletter publishing the semester results, achievements, various technical and non-technical essays and so on.

The Head of the department and the faculty wish each one of the student ‘Best of Luck’ for their forthcoming examination in April/May, 2024 and special wishes to the current final year batch of students to excel in their examinations and to remain blessed in life.
